Growth of "Webcams" in every location is becoming disturbing. Still, some are a neat chance to see places you are not at now but are thinking of going or places you were and would like to get a look at again (I'm tired.) So jump right in and have a look at some live and blurry pictures of midcoast Maine, starting with Rockland's "Breakwater-cam". Now that's technology.

Hi Jeff,
That is a pretty blurry image. I used to serve on the board of the Friends of the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse and remember when that camera was installed. If I remember correctly there is a sheet of plexi-glass over the window and I'm sure that contributes some to the lack of quality of the image! That white line in the middle of the image near the bottom is the flag pole that was installed a couple years ago. It's a good indicator during summer weekends as to whether the lighthouse is staffed with volunteers or not....if the flag is flying, there's someone there and you're likely to get a chance to go up into the light tower.
